Gangtey Goemba
Located on top of the valley, the Gangtey Goemba has been built for the reincarnation of Guru Rinpoche, the saint who introduced Buddhism in Bhutan. Apart from its rich history, the place is popular among bird lovers with numerous Himalayan bird species sighted in this region.
Kuezang Chholing Shedra
This is a Buddhist school that has been built to provide education to the younger generations. With more than 300 monks spreading the knowledge of social life and the rich history of Bhutan, this place is a great place to visit during your trip to Phobjikha Valley.
Khewang Lhakhang
Considered among the oldest monasteries of the country, the Khewang Lhakhang is located on the eastern side of the valley built in the early 15th century. The monastery houses 3 statues of Buddha that replicate the past, present and future forms of Buddha.
Nyelung Descending
Known to be one of the eight residential areas of Nyingma Dzogchen, the temple offers tourists to acknowledge the ancient tales and historical facts of this place and its importance to the country. Being located at an off-beat place, this is one of the best places to visit in the valley.
