Railway: Although Bhutan does not have any rail routes, tourists can board the train from NJP station of Siliguri to Hasimara Station located at a distance of 18 km from the city of Phuentsholing.
Road: Although it is time-consuming, roadways are the best way to travel to Bhutan. Asian Highway 48 is the only major route that connects Bhutan with the rest of Indian states through roadways.
